As a Weekend Shift Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our weekend operations run smoothly, maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Mentor: Supervise a team of logistics personnel during weekend shifts, ensuring high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and ensure accuracy in inventory counts.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify workflow bottlenecks during the weekend shift and implement effective solutions to maintain throughput.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety standards and conduct daily safety briefings to ensure a secure working environment for all staff.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor shipping quality and resolve any discrepancies immediately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with the weekday management team to align weekend operations with broader company goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Availability: Must be available to work Friday through Sunday shifts, including holidays, as required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory control systems, and safety regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and instruct staff effectively.
