Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage all warehouse activities during the weekend shift, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching orders.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of warehouse staff, assigning tasks, conducting briefings, and ensuring high productivity levels.
- Quality Control: Monitor stock accuracy and inventory levels, conducting regular stocktakes to minimize errors.
- Health & Safety: Enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Reporting: Generate and review daily shift reports, highlighting any issues or bottlenecks to the Site Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Driving License: Valid UK driving license is required.
- Forklift Certification: Certified to operate forklift trucks (MIOSH/NEBOSH preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively under pressure.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
