Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and registration processes during weekend shifts
- Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle insurance verification and billing inquiries with precision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Resolve patient concerns promptly and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Assist with weekend inventory management and supply chain coordination
- Support HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- 1+ years healthcare or customer service experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekends with advance notice
- Valid Virginia driver's license (if required for occasional off-site duties)
