Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, registration, and insurance verification during weekend shifts
- Coordinate provider schedules and optimize patient flow in fast-paced urgent care environment
- Assist with diagnostic test coordination and results communication
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and in-person with exceptional service standards
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless weekend operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare certification preferred (CMA, CNA, EMT)
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical office or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with rotating holidays
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
