Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and relocate merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts, receive incoming shipments, and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
- Stock Organization: Organize and maintain stockrooms, ensuring products are easily accessible and stored according to safety protocols.
- Packing and Shipping: Accurately pack, label, and prepare products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials and methods.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or defects and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including load manifests and shift reports.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: A minimum of a high school education is required.
- Previous Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is a plus but we provide training for qualified candidates.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the warehouse facility.
