Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to move inventory.
- Load and Unload Freight: Manually or with equipment, load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, stock inspections, and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
- Packaging and Shipping: Prepare orders for shipment by packing, labeling, and applying appropriate shipping materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and preparing shipments.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
