Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise in and out of the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Process incoming shipments, verify counts against packing lists, and update inventory systems accurately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for everyone.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and colleagues to meet daily production targets and quotas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse machinery and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Keep it Clean: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to operate handheld scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Reliability: Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Documentation: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is required.
