Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER setting, including assessment, intervention, and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures with precision
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ER experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system preferred
