Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable software solutions for aircraft systems and avionics.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices, architecture, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and technical specifications.
- Maintain and optimize legacy codebases to ensure system stability and performance.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical architecture discussions.
- Identify technical risks and propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, RESTful APIs, and cloud computing (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. work authorization; Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
- Willingness to relocate to Wichita, KS.
