Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using AWS/GCP and containerization technologies
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for enterprise-grade deployments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across the development lifecycle
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to architectural roadmaps
- Automate testing frameworks ensuring >95% code coverage
- Research and implement emerging technologies to maintain competitive edge
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ in cloud-native applications
- Expert proficiency in at least two modern languages (Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture
- Proven experience leading technical projects with measurable business impact
- Strong background in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, or Terraform) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with complex system debugging experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US and willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC
