Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Optimize system performance for 99.99% uptime and sub-200ms response times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver CI/CD pipelines
- Architect secure RESTful APIs and implement OAuth2 authentication
- Drive technical debt reduction through refactoring and testing initiatives
- Present technical solutions to C-level stakeholders and product owners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years building production-grade Java applications with Spring Boot
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) with Terraform infrastructure-as-code
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar DevOps tools
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure, Scrum Master) preferred
- Eligible to work in the UK with right to permanent residency
