Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company's core network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime during night shifts.
- Perform real-time network monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for critical systems.
- Implement and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and deploy network upgrades and software patches.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Respond to emergency alerts and escalate complex issues to senior leadership when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record in a 24/7 or night shift environment.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and autonomously.
