Responsibilities
- Lead research and analysis of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with 5-10 year impact horizons
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market trends
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and external stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future-focused innovations into development pipelines
- Identify and assess potential partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups
- Monitor global tech policy developments and advise on regulatory implications
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of foresight within the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy, R&D, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing long-term technology roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., generative AI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities with data-driven decision making
- Experience presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems and academic institutions
- Published thought leadership in technology or futurism (articles, white papers, books)
