Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts affecting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop evidence-based scenario models and strategic roadmaps for executive decision-making
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and investment teams
- Produce high-impact foresight publications and thought leadership content
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Advise on long-term R&D investments and portfolio diversification strategies
- Mentor junior futurists and build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-oriented planning
- Proven track record of publishing industry-shaping trend analyses
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional presentation skills with C-level stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful strategic foresight implementations
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS) preferred
