Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic foresight frameworks for 2026 urban technology integration
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives and government stakeholders
- Produce trend reports and scenario analyses for smart city infrastructure projects
- Design predictive models for climate adaptation and resource optimization systems
- Oversee implementation of pilot programs in Austin's innovation districts
- Mentor junior futurists and establish industry thought leadership through publications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants for sustainable development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Urban Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or urban technology
- Proven experience with scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis
- Expertise in AI ethics, biotechnology policy, and sustainable infrastructure
- Published author in futurism journals or industry white papers
- Strong track record of securing government/private research funding
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and GIS systems
- Deep knowledge of Austin's tech ecosystem and urban development initiatives
