Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal transformations impacting 2026+
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks using scenario planning, trend analysis, and systemic modeling
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable innovation roadmaps for C-suite leadership
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-facing products and services
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global industry forums
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry experts
- Integrate foresight insights into corporate strategy, product development, and investment decisions
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and systemic trend analysis methodologies
- Deep technical knowledge across AI, biotechnology, quantum computing, or sustainable systems
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (articles, whitepapers, books)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced tech or consulting environments
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and foresight software platforms
