Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts impacting 2026
- Develop quantitative and qualitative future scenario models for strategic decision-making
- Produce annual 'State of the Future' reports with actionable recommendations
- Coordinate cross-functional working groups to align innovation roadmaps
- Advise leadership on emerging risks and opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Represent the company at global foresight conferences and industry forums
- Mentor junior futurists and establish foresight frameworks across departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Foresight, Strategic Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, technology consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven experience developing 5-10 year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and futures research methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging tech domains: AI, quantum computing, AR/VR, synthetic biology
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or futurism publications
- Track record of influencing high-stakes business decisions through foresight work
