Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable web applications using modern frameworks.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while conducting thorough code reviews for the engineering team.
- API Development: Develop robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs to power front-end interfaces and third-party integrations.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend specialists to define technical requirements.
- Optimization: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize for speed and scalability.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the San Diego office.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Frontend Expertise: Proficiency in React or Vue.js with a deep understanding of state management.
- Backend Skills: Strong proficiency in Node.js (Express/NestJS) or Python (Django/FastAPI).
- Database: Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
- Cloud: Familiarity with AWS or Azure services (EC2, S3, Lambda).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to work from our San Diego, CA office 3 days a week.
