Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced machine learning models for fraud detection and risk assessment
- Analyze large-scale datasets using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Present complex findings to C-suite executives through compelling visualizations
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for model deployment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems
- Stay current with industry trends and contribute to open-source projects
Qualifications
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in data science with proven ML deployment track record
- Expertise in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and SQL
- Strong statistical modeling skills (regression, classification, clustering)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker or BigQuery preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts
- Financial services domain knowledge highly desirable
