Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reports using advanced BI tools.
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis on large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by developing and implementing data validation processes.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis methodologies and tools within the organization.
- Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Demonstrated experience with BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
- Strong command of statistical programming languages like Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling data visualizations and presentations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Prior experience working with government data or in a consulting environment within the D.C. area is a significant plus.
