Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Senior 2D Graphics Engineer to join Nebula Dynamics. In this pivotal role, you will architect and implement high-performance rendering engines that define the visual standard for our next-generation platform. You will bridge the gap between creative design and technical engineering, ensuring our 2D visual experiences are not only stunning but fluid and accessible across all devices.
As a key technical leader, you will optimize rendering pipelines, mentor junior developers, and push the boundaries of what is possible within the web browser. If you are passionate about pixel-perfect design and high-performance code, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Architect 2D Rendering Pipelines: Design and implement efficient rendering engines using WebGL, Canvas API, and SVG to deliver high-fidelity 2D graphics.
- Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize rendering loops to ensure 60fps animations on a wide range of devices, minimizing memory leaks and CPU usage.
- Interactive UI Development: Build complex, interactive 2D user interfaces and micro-animations that enhance user engagement and usability.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure seamless rendering and visual consistency across desktop, mobile, and tablet browsers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers and product managers to translate high-fidelity mockups into scalable, production-ready code.
- Mentorship: Guide the engineering team in best practices for graphics programming, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 2D graphics programming, game development, or UI engineering.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern graphics libraries (Pixi.js, Phaser, or Three.js).
- Mathematics: Strong understanding of linear algebra, trigonometry, and coordinate systems.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex rendering issues and optimize performance bottlenecks under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
