What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Visitors: Provide a warm, professional welcome to all patients and guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage Communications: Answer, screen, and route incoming calls; take accurate messages and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments using our electronic health records system (EHR) and send confirmations.
- Administrative Support: Handle check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance information, and collect copayments accurately.
- Mail and Faxes: Sort and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and packages efficiently.
- Office Maintenance: Maintain the reception area, including keeping it clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Data Entry: Update patient records and maintain accurate filing systems, both digital and physical.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in business or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
