Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing error-corrected quantum computing architectures
- Pioneer hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science publications and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in government and private quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with IBM, Google, and Microsoft on open-source quantum software initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record of developing quantum error correction protocols
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds and NISQ-era constraints
- Experience with superconducting qubits, trapped ions, or topological quantum systems
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks applicable to quantum computing
