Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into functional prototypes
- Publish research findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical simulation tools
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or related domains
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave engineering for quantum hardware
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing and proposal development
