Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum hardware at scale
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Advise C-suite on quantum computing roadmap integration with existing AI infrastructure
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants through DOE/NIST proposals
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years industry experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Strong background in machine learning and statistical physics
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants and navigate federal funding landscapes
- Clearable DOE Q-level security clearance preferred
