Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-AI hybrid algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for quantum machine learning systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum neural networks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-AI system integration
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum-AI initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles and AI methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum/AI conferences
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and TensorFlow Quantum
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
- Track record of securing research grants or corporate funding
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
