Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum-AI hybrid systems in cloud-native environments
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors with AI acceleration
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, NeurIPS, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and develop patentable IP portfolios
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or adjacent fields
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government contract work
