Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for 3-5 simultaneous events weekly including vendor scheduling and timeline management
- Manage client communication via phone/email and conduct on-site walkthroughs
- Supervise event setup/breakdown crews and troubleshoot in real-time
- Source and negotiate with local vendors (caterers, musicians, decorators)
- Maintain detailed event documentation and post-event analytics
- Collaborate with tourism partners to promote New Orleans as an event destination
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year event planning or hospitality coordination experience
- Proficiency in event management software (Eventbrite, Cvent, or similar)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills during high-pressure situations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with reliable transportation
- Availability to work evenings/weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of New Orleans venues, vendors, and cultural protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
