Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure 100% accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-accident workplace environment; conduct nightly safety audits.
- Team Management: Mentor, train, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock discrepancies, and implement process improvements to optimize storage space and workflow efficiency.
- Performance Reporting: Generate and review daily shift reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions to meet operational targets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure forklifts and material handling equipment are maintained in good working order and that operators are certified.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, or similar).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (LF/RF) and OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management and hourly staff.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) including weekends and holidays as required.
