Responsibilities
- Supervise 15-20 night shift staff, ensuring task completion and performance standards
- Monitor inventory control systems and coordinate with day shift transitions
- Enforce OSHA compliance protocols and address safety concerns immediately
- Train and mentor new hires on equipment operation and warehouse procedures
- Generate daily shift reports and communicate operational bottlenecks
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency
- Collaborate with transportation teams on loading/unloading schedules
Qualifications
- 3+ years warehouse/supervisory experience in logistics or manufacturing
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
- Proficient in WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating heavy machinery
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
