We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can take ownership of system maintenance and security protocols during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance during off-hours.
- Execute critical system patches, updates, and security patches without disrupting day operations.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents reported during the night shift.
- Ensure all backups are completed successfully and data integrity is maintained.
- Document system configurations, changes, and incident reports in our ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift team to hand off critical issues and ensure seamless transitions.
- Perform routine hardware inspections and maintenance on server racks and peripherals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Support.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and reliably during night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or MCSA) are a significant plus.
