Responsibilities
- Oversee Night Operations: Manage daily workflows, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring all targets are met during the night shift.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a diverse team of logistics professionals, conducting shift briefings, performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect forklifts and warehouse machinery daily, coordinating repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address operational bottlenecks and escalate complex issues to upper management when necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all outbound shipments meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management; 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan). Forklift certification is required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Driving: Valid driverβs license and clean driving record.
