Responsibilities
- Monitor server performance, network traffic, and system health during night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Resolve escalated IT tickets, including hardware repairs, software configuration, and access issues.
- Perform nightly security updates, patch management, and backups to protect company data.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to document issues and hand over unresolved tickets for morning resolution.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new workstations and peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and report shortages or damages.
- Adhere to strict IT security protocols and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support or help desk roles.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
- Must be available and willing to work the Night Shift (Shift Work).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certificate in IT (CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+) is a plus.
