Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) for anomalies and threats during the night shift.
- Perform real-time triage and analysis of security alerts to identify false positives and genuine threats.
- Execute incident response procedures to contain and neutralize security breaches promptly.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and provide actionable reports to the IT team.
- Document all security events, investigations, and remediation efforts in accordance with compliance standards.
- Collaborate with day-shift analysts to ensure seamless handover of ongoing security operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
