Responsibilities
- Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of server racks, cooling systems, and power distribution units (PDUs).
- Execute nightly inventory checks and ensure all hardware assets are accounted for and secure.
- Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot hardware issues within strict SLA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant data center environment (security and safety protocols).
- Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in the CMDB.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a data center or server room environment.
- Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Familiarity with physical server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco) and basic networking concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to lift 50lbs in a safe manner.
