Responsibilities
- Coordinate Freight: Schedule and manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any logistical issues promptly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control processes to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of all shipping documents, bills of lading, and delivery logs in the company database.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to negotiate rates and ensure service quality.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve logistical bottlenecks under tight deadlines.
