Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and HVAC systems.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Document all maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair logs accurately in the company database.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment downtime is minimized.
- Participate in weekly training sessions focused on technical safety and equipment efficiency.
- Conduct routine safety audits of equipment to ensure compliance with federal standards.
Qualifications
- Must currently hold or be eligible for a valid J1 Visa (Trainee category).
- Enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, or electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal) for technical communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 (standard J1 criteria).
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
