Role Overview
The IT Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for our employees, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide tier 2 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage user accounts, including password resets and access permissions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of server infrastructure and cloud services.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security patches and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 365 suite.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
