Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy, aligning emerging technologies with market demands and business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive trends in AI, quantum computing, biotech, and climate tech
- Design and implement proof-of-concept projects for next-gen technologies with potential $100M+ market impact
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive leadership and board of directors, translating complex futures into executable plans
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs to accelerate innovation pipelines
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists, fostering a culture of bold experimentation
- Monitor geopolitical and socioeconomic trends that may disrupt technology landscapes by 2026
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, technology consulting, or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth tech
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services with 5+ years market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, neurotech, etc.)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc preferred) or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy (whitepapers, patents, keynotes)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $10M
