Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, geopolitical shifts, and socio-cultural trends with 3-5 year impact potential
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning, trend analysis, and disruption mapping
- Translate future insights into actionable innovation roadmaps aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities
- Facilitate executive workshops on future implications of AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate adaptation technologies
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academic researchers, and industry disruptors
- Author quarterly Future State Briefs for the board and executive leadership team
- Champion human-centered design principles in all innovation strategy development
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, Futures Studies, or related field
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning methodologies and futures research techniques
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-oriented strategy implementations
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams in matrix organizations
