Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and validate disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligning emerging trends with business objectives
- Conduct scenario planning and risk analysis for technological convergence points
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into patentable innovations and pilot programs
- Present future intelligence to executive stakeholders and industry thought leaders
- Establish cross-functional innovation ecosystems with academia and startups
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026+ technological and societal shifts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven track record of translating future insights into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Strong data modeling and scenario planning methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Published thought leadership on future trends or innovation strategy
- Experience with global futures research networks (e.g., WFS, APF)
