You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to align technological initiatives with long-term business objectives while managing R&D investments and partnerships with leading academic institutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps prioritizing breakthrough innovations for 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams to assess commercial viability of emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and technology pioneers
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for disruptive technology impacts
- Present technology investment proposals to the board with ROI projections and risk assessments
- Mentor junior strategists and foster innovation culture across technical divisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2020s innovation track record
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, biotech)
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies and patent landscape analysis
- Strong financial modeling skills for technology valuation and investment decisions
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry conferences
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
