Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, decentralized AI)
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies for strategic acquisition or partnership
- Present technology forecasts and innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders
- Oversee pilot programs for next-gen systems with measurable ROI targets
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation lab team
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or senior R&D leadership
- Proven track record in scaling innovative tech products from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, bio-IT, AR/VR, etc.)
- Strong background in technology forecasting and competitive analysis
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience securing venture capital or corporate funding for R&D
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technologies
