Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions with Fortune 500 partners
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Drive commercialization of breakthrough technologies through patent strategy and IP licensing
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology methodologies
- Monitor global tech policy trends and advise on regulatory compliance strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience managing $10M+ R&D budgets and cross-functional global teams
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) or equivalent industry impact
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, R, or Julia)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
