Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation in accordance with DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the safety of the merchandise and the public.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record while adhering to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
