Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops (tobacco, sweet potatoes, soybeans)
- Operate and maintain farm machinery (tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems)
- Monitor crop health and apply pest control measures under supervision
- Perform field maintenance including irrigation setup and soil preparation
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during all operations
- Assist with packing and loading harvested produce for shipment
- Maintain accurate field records and daily activity logs
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa sponsorship eligibility required
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices (training provided)
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate farm equipment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Prior farm experience preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation to worksite (provided during work hours)
