Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, biocomputing, spatial web)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and design teams
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis for technological disruption
- Author white papers on ethical implications of next-gen technologies
- Build stakeholder relationships with Silicon Valley VCs and academic institutions
- Prototype future interfaces using AR/VR and haptic feedback systems
- Mentor junior futurists in speculative design methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused initiatives
- Published research in technology ethics or innovation theory
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating speculative design projects or tech prototypes
