Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AI, quantum, biotech convergence)
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and academic partnerships
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Establish industry partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and DARPA-affiliated labs
- Scale experimental projects to commercial viability within 18-month cycles
- Present quarterly innovation blueprints to C-suite and board of directors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation/strategy with 5+ at director level
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products (e.g., ChatGPT, CRISPR applications)
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- PhD in STEM field or equivalent entrepreneurial exit experience
- Exceptional ability to translate complex concepts into executable business strategies
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($1M+)
- Published thought leadership in Nature/IEEE/MIT Technology Review
