Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) and develop 2026 adoption roadmaps
- Partner with VPs of Engineering and Product to align futuristic initiatives with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype 2026-era solutions
- Author quarterly 'Tech Horizon Reports' for executive stakeholders
- Represent company at global futurist summits and tech conferences
- Build and mentor a team of 3-5 futurist researchers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of launching future-focused initiatives (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Q#, Cirq)
- Strong network with DARPA, NASA, or equivalent research institutions
