Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, space tech) to identify opportunities for 2026+ market disruption
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Technology Roadmap' with strategic recommendations for product development and investment allocation
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, marketing, and executive teams to align on future technology priorities
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry thought leaders to scout breakthrough innovations
- Create compelling executive presentations and thought leadership content articulating future technology scenarios
- Advise on M&A and partnership strategies targeting emerging technology companies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Monitor geopolitical, regulatory, and ethical implications of emerging technologies to ensure responsible innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting with proven track record of mapping long-term tech trends
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, space tech)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical, market, and social data into actionable insights
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies or high-growth tech startups
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, Business Strategy) or equivalent experience
- Portfolio published thought leadership pieces (whitepapers, keynotes, articles) on future technology scenarios
